My involvement with Romania throught CARE began in October 1989 when Knowle Parish Church " Suffering Church Prayer Group" first sought assistance with delivering an Aid Project to a children's home in Craiova. My employer, Severn Trent Water limited, supplied two company "Sherpa" vans for the use of the six man team. The full project team of nine finally made a trip in April/May 1990 and the experience made such an impact on us that we committed ourselves to developing the work and registering the activity with the Charity Commissioners of England and Wales.
I served as Action Committee Chairman from 1991 to 2000 and as Chairman of Trustees (acting) during the process of registration of the Charity. I co-authored the group Constitution and currently fill the role of Project Co-Ordinator. My primary passion is for organising and supporting evangelistic mission alongside the Pastors of our link Churches in the region of Oltenia, southwest Romania.
